Actually one could use any camera to produce great images. I take the liberty to state that it is mostly a point of personal preferences to use a certain model of a specific vendor. Of course a lot of people and especially vendors will object but no marketing fanfare can outpace physical limitations and simple facts.
Fuji X1 Pro
I use the Fuji whenever I travel. Its the best camera for all purposes that I know and delivers top value for a more than reasonable price. If I could only have one camera this would be my choice.
Features:
Horseman SWD-II Pro
This is a portable technical camera that I use whenever I photograph architecture and landscapes. Its all manual of course but permits me to capture even spacious interior like that of cathedrals free of distortion. It can be used with film and digital backs.
Features:
Rodenstock LF APO Digitar 45 mm
This is a digital lens I use format camera I use whenever I photograph architecture and landscapes. It is the best lens I have yet seen. Featuring a massive image circle ideal for shifting long ranges and having an excellent image quality better than that of the Schneider MF lenses. especially if you would like to achieve a maximum Depth of Field.
PhaseOne IQ
This is a digital medium format camera I use for all other purposes. It is bulky and does not deliver the gadgets of modern DLSR but I like the analogue quality of the images. I do not need 5000 AF points and 4K video and even the best DSLR cannot beat the quality of the images you can produce with this camera once the light is right. I will not start to discuss the technical reason because most people would not understand them anyway. However … once you feel the power of this device you have to accept that is simply different.
Features:
Profoto B1 artificial lights
Sometimes artificial light helps you to improve your scenery and balance the light just right. The Profoto system is of an excellent quality and well integrated with the PhaseOne cameras. There is a broad range of modifiers available.
Unfortunately its totally overpriced. Like most photo stuff.
Sekonic Light Meter – Type 758 Video
A light meter is a must have but you do not need to buy this totally overpriced one. The only reason I bought it is that I wanted the spot metering option and not every light meter owns that feature.
